Gissat undertakes EIAs to determine the positive and negative consequences to the environment of any proposed project in a location. This is done to ensure that decision makers consider the environmental impacts when deciding whether or not to proceed with a project. Social Impact Assessments are done to review the social effects of infrastructure projects and developments interventions.
This is done through a process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and mitigating the biophysical, social, and other relevant effects of development proposals prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made.
